Chat With Our Store Teams

We sat down and chatted to our wonderful Store Managers about their style, what they're loving instore at the moment, dreamy holiday destinations and more. Come and get to know them!

Meet Jane at our Birkenhead Store.

01 What products are on your wish list at the moment?

Arnold Circus Stool - Paperbark
- Mini Terracotta Stripe Sheets
- Kowtow Cleo Trench Coat
- Figs & Olives by Hannah Stockman
- Nothing Fancy
- New Zealand Wool - Sheepskin Beanbag

02 How would you describe your design style?

A little bit eclectic - I definitely sway towards colours and materials from the 50's, 60's & 70's but like to add a few contemporary pieces into the mix. I try to buy items that I know I am going to love forever whether that be secondhand or new.

03 Where's the next place on your travel bucket list and why?

I've always fancied a Greek island getaway, but hasn't everyone!

04 What’s your favourite way to spend a day off locally?

I love to wander through the Centra Flea Market in Mt Eden on a Sunday morning, looking for treasures to add to my little collections. Crown Lynn plates and jugs, and amber glassware always draw me in (but I don't really need anymore!) A coffee will be needed somewhere along the way. Maybe a walk on Takapuna beach with a gelato if the weather is being kind.

Meet Amy at our Orakei Store.

01 What products are on your wish list at the moment?

European Linen Waffle Blanket – Oatmeal
Marlo Bench Seat – Off White
- Assembly Label Rice Paper Lamp
European Linen Euro Pillowcase – Blush

02 How would you describe your design style?

My design approach is inspired by Parisian chic interior styling. I've always been drawn to old villas, especially in Ponsonby, with their beautiful architectural details. In my styling, I like to experiment with materials and textures to give these aged interiors new life.

03 Where's the next place on your travel bucket list and why?

My next destination is back home to Algeria for a big summer holiday. I'd love to spend time with my family, who I haven’t been able to visit for years.

04 What’s your favourite way to spend a day off locally?

I enjoy taking long walks along the waterfront with my headphones on, blasting music. I also love treating myself to at-home facials with my ever-growing collection of skincare.

Meet Tayla at our Bloc, Mt Eden Store.
01 What products are on your wish list at the moment?

- Replacing my Bjorn Mirror that I had to sell in Dunedin before moving back up last year!
- Wave bowl
- Pele Faux Fur Throw
- Lulu Stool - Eggshell

02 How would you describe your design style?

Very modern farmhouse. Combination of clean, contemporary lines with rustic, warm elements. Large windows and open layouts for plenty of natural light, simple, functional decor that avoids clutter, light, neutral tones dominating the space creating a bright and airy atmosphere and use of natural wood and stone. I love to blend the comfort and warmth of traditional farmhouse design with the sleekness and simplicity of modern aesthetics.
